When Words Are Not Enough – Creative Workshops
Whether you prefer to paint, sculpt, draw, write, produce films or music, create animations or another form of art, if you are a domestic abuse survivor and want to tell your story, we would love you to exhibit at our forthcoming ‘When Words Are Not Enough’ art exhibition.
We will be holding three art workshops in September for individuals who have expressed that they would like to take part in the exhibition. Here at NIDAS, we are proud to offer an in-house art therapy service, and our lead Art Therapist, Hatty Pocock, will be facilitating the workshops.
What to expect at the workshops
The workshops will provide an opportunity for individuals to talk to Hatty about art therapy and how art can be a powerful tool to help support those who have been affected by domestic abuse, as well as many other ways art is fantastic.
Individuals will be able to create their artwork for the exhibition during the workshops using a wide variety of materials available, as well as taking advantage of Hatty’s assistance.
Attending the workshops is also a great opportunity for survivors to connect with other members from their local community, extending their support network.
